All the canes are made from high quality ratan which we import from overseas. Canes are cut, straightened without the use of steam (steam weakens the structural integrity of the ratan which increases the possibility of splitting and cracking), and tested. If it fails testing it goes into the scrap pile.
The ratan is then sanded and shaped into the type of cane it will be. It is then allowed to soak in water and put back into the straigtening jig. It is later then removed and tested again.
The ratan is then polished to remove small imperfections (which could cause slivers) and graded. After having it's unique serial number applied, it is sealed with multiple coats of a water based urathane. After drying, it is then polished again and several coats of our own cane wax is applied.
The end result is a cane that will last for years with proper use. In fact we provide a limited guarantee on the workmanship of our canes for a full year from the date of purchase.

Cane Name: RATAN TAILS - In development
We are currently working on a flogger made out of very thin ratan. If successful, it will be a one person toy as we won't be able to seal the strands. In trying to picture it, think of TAI sticks that are really long but stringy. You'll have to soak the flooger in water for 20 minutes to loosen it up. Will come with it's own storage container.
Cane Name: TATOO CANING SET - Next in development
This is a set of canes approximately 457mm in length. There are two of each from 5mm to 15mm in diameter. So far there we know we can put 10 canes in the set. We will be looking to expand it to 16.
